Acute Kidney Injury and Electrolyte Abnormalities After Chimeric Antigen Receptor T-Cell (CAR-T) Therapy for Diffuse Large B-Cell Lymphoma
Cytokine release syndrome occurs commonly after chimeric antigen receptor T-cell (CAR-T) therapy, but the renal effects were largely unknown. This study found that patients with diffuse large B-cell lymphoma commonly had both AKI and electrolyte abnormalities in conjunction with cytokine release syndrome.
Rapid corticosteroid taper versus standard of care for immune checkpoint inhibitor induced nephritis: a single-center retrospective cohort study
Current guidelines for treatment of immune checkpoint inhibitor (ICI)-induced nephritis are not evidence based and may lead to excess corticosteroid exposure, thus this study aimed to compare standard of care to a rapid porticosteroid taper. We found no significant difference in renal recovery between the two groups.
Safety and Efficacy of Immune Checkpoint Inhibitors in Patients on Dialysis: A Retrospective Case Series
This retrospective study examined the effects of immune checkpoint inhibitors in patients on dialysis. This cohort of 19 patients bolstered the scarce existing literature in this patient population, and found lower rates of irAEs than previously reported.
